What are you reading or listening to today?

I'm interesting in knowing what you are reading or listening to these days.

I am currently reading ET Essential Teacher magazine - March 2009 and October 2009 issue. There is an intersting article in the March 2009 issue on the culture in Greece which I found insightful. I am very intersting in reading more about teaching writing to 2nd language learners. This semester I was teaching a writing course and did not like the way the class has been going. I want to figure out a better way.

As for listening, on my MP3 are the songs that Rebekah downloaded when I was in Germany. It has a nice mixture of music - classic, praise music, and jazz. Now that Dad and I are going to the gym several times a week it's nice to have some good music to listen to. The university has a separate gym for men and women. The equipment is older but still works. It's great to have my MP3 to listen to the music while on the treadmill.

So, how about you? What are you reading and listening to?

  1. Right now I am listening to Andrew Bird, Alexi Murdoch, Daniel Lanois. George Winston, Gipsy Kings, Jack Johnson, Jesse Cook, Kaki King, Neko Case, of course the ever popular Norah Jones, Oscar Lopez, Patrick Watson, Peter Cincotti, Sarah Harmer, Sigur Ros, The Weakerthans, The Wallflowers and many many more. I am listening to a lot of different kinds of music. Also what are you doing running on a treadmill when you have the great outdoors to enjoy?

  2. So true. Running outside is probably better but you know how things are - we get lazy. Wow, I haven' heard of those people. Why type of music do they play?
