Whats there to be confused about both Van and Bruggen are cities that is kind of cool. It is really interesting that the city of Bruggen is in Germany close to the border which gives you pause to think that maybe our family originated from this city. I have decided that I would like to visit the city of Bruggen (if you can call it a city it is pretty small). Actually I would like to visit both the cities Van and Bruggen. Think about it, Awesome!
Sounds like you are becoming an enthomologist - studying origin of words. Actually I find the origin of words very fascinating, looking at the original meaning and how it has developed over time.
You should talk to Aunt Nancy about the relatives in Holland and see if you can make a connection with them.
am I the only one confused, because I'm confused!

Notice how close Bruggen is to the border of the Netherlands, I think that we may be spelling our name wrong we need the little dots over the u.
